Letter Writing Task. The learner has a letter writing task to complete and can plan and format their letter correctly by using the included letter writing template.

Get your learners to create their own emoji. This task can be used as a fun lesson filler where learners can choose a set of eyes and a mouth to create their own emoji. It can also be used as a way of getting a learners to express how they are feeling.

Directions: Cut out the cards and place them into a hat. Each person picks a card from the hat and acts out what is on the card. This resource is a group activity where members of a team inspect a building to identify any hazards that pose a risk to employees who work there. This task has been used as part of a City and Guilds Employability module with adult learners. It has also been used as a team building task with KS3 learners. The team must inspect the building and identify hazards, before using a ‘Risk Assessment Matrix’ in order to determine the severity of the risk. Following this, they will then take part in a group meeting to discuss their finding. The seven page booklet has all the task sheets needed to complete the task and all instructions that the group must follow.

This resource I have created is a seven page booklet which contains a team activity that has been used many times with adult learners. These learners were completing a Level 1 Employability Course with City and Guilds and had to complete a module named: ‘Working as Part of a Team.’ This booklet covers unit 4 and unit 6 of the team working module. This group project gives learners a set of instructions to create a business plan that will be used to launch a new business venture. They are required to deliver this business plan in the form of a presentation, which they will used to show potential investors or clients of their services. The team will be required to plan everything from the company logo to advertising for staff members to join their firm. Depending on the ability of your learners this task usually takes between 3- 6 hours to complete before the learners deliver their presentation. All instructions for this task are in the booklet, as well as task sheets that will enable them to complete this task and also to reflect on the work they have completed. This activity has also been used with KS3 learners recently with great success.

This is a 18 page PPT which is based on the book Hatchet. I created this following reading chapter 4 of the book: just before Brian enters the woods. The class will imagine that they are in the same position as Brian and will write a list of items that they feel will aid survival until rescue comes. They will then discuss animals that they many encounter in the wilderness and the dangers of encountering these animals. Following this, the learners are given a scenario and then will answers 8 scenario based multi-choice questions ( answers and short explanations provided). The aim of the quiz is to determine whether or not they would survive a night in the wilderness! An extension task is provided also at the end of the PPT. a fun classroom activity.

Learners are asked to find the names of the movie characters that feature on the worksheet. The answers are in the word search. Lesson filler. The answer sheet is provided.

Cut out and hide the clues around your building / classroom. The learners should be split in teams of two. They have to locate each clue which will contain an individual letter. Once they have located the clues they have to unscramble the letters which will reveal the name of a piece of school equipment. Separate sheet provided which contains clues and answer.

This game is similar to the popular Catchphrase game. If the team answers the question correctly, then the box disappears and a section of a picture appears. I created this game as a final lesson for Pride Month. The questions are aimed at secondary school aged learners. Answers are included. Instructions Split the students into equal teams. Twenty questions will appear on the board. The aim of the game is for each group to answer the questions correctly and to correctly identify the three LGBTQ+ celebrities that are hidden behind the boxes. Each team, when it is their go, will pick a question that they want to answer. They will say the number assigned to this question. If the teams gets the question right, then the teacher will click on the box and the box will then disappear. A section of one of the ‘hidden’ picture will then be revealed. The team can then take a guess to who this celebrity is. Each question that’s answered correctly is worth 1 point! If the hidden celebrity is correctly identified by the team, then this is worth five points! The team with the most points, wins! The good thing about the game is that even if the pictures are correctly identified, the teams can carry on playing the game to obtain points.

**Instructions: ** Divide players into teams. Each team has sixty seconds to memorise all of the items in the box below. Players are not permitted to take a photo of the game sheet or to write any of the objects down on paper at this stage of the game. After the allocated time is up, the players will be asked to turn over their game sheets. They will then have three minutes to write down, from memory, each of the items below. The team who can memorise the most items, wins!
